Thank you, dear friend for adding this oil to your new Colorado home.
In some of my works, colors occasionally come together in an etheric, or other-worldly way. From the start, it was my intention to create a forest with that quality.
Deciding on the use of transparent veils of color, a forest began to emerge with a minimum of detail and a singular source of light. I stayed true to the original idea and resisted the temptation to add darker details. There was more thinking involved in this work than physically applying paint.
The result is what I like to call an art object rather than an easily identifiable scene.
